Texas Hold’em is a type of poker game that can be played with as little as two people. In order for the game to be more profitable, it is advisable to have at least four players. The game begins after blinds are paid and bets are placed. After this, a pre-flop is dealt. A pre-flop is the first two cards dealt to the players, and they are always face-down. After the pre-flop, betting begins again.
Once the betting has ended, the flop is dealt. This is where the dealer places 3 cards face up in the center. These are community cards, which mean they are used to help make your 2 cards into a poker hand. Bets are placed again and once they are over the next card, the turn, is dealt. Following the turn, is more betting and then another card is flipped over, called the river. After the final round of betting, the players show their cards and the winner gets the pot. |
